Sodium formate production technology

Sodium formate production technology

  1、Process features
  1.1Continuous and automatic production process
1.2The excess gas process is adopted in the front stage of synthesis to ensure the complete reaction of caustic soda and the finished product purity is more than 98.8%. The latter stage adopts the excess caustic soda process to ensure the complete gas reaction.

  2、Process description
CO gas source: a. produced by coke or coal gas, b. ammonia analytical gas, c. carbide tail gas, d. yellow phosphorus tail gas, e. other gases containing CO.
2.1、After purification and compression, CO is mixed with caustic soda solution.
2.2、Caustic soda, water and centrifugal mother liquor are prepared into caustic soda solution of specified concentration, which is lifted by centrifugal pump and mixed with gas.
2.3、Gas-liquid mixture enters the tubular reactor and reacts at 1.3-2.0Mpa and 150-190 ℃ to form a dilute sodium formate solution of sodium formate.
  CO  +  NaOH  =  HCOONa
2.4、The dilute sodium formate solution enters the diluent storage tank, is pumped into the sodium formate concentrator, and is concentrated by 2 stages to obtain the concentrated sodium formate suspension containing crystal.
2.5、The suspension is centrifuged by a centrifuge, the mother liquor is reused, and the solids enter the dryer. After drying, the finished sodium formate is obtained.
